Jourmal Entry 6:Moving Variables
We can move one variable term to the other side of the equal sign by using the inverse operation. We would add 4j in a problem like 16j= 12 - 4j because the inverse operation of subtraction is addition. The relationship between addition and subtraction is the inverse operation. "What we do on one side, we must do to the other side" relate to a balance scale because a balance scale is when both sides are equal and when you solve an equation, one side must equal to the other.

Hi Rotceh,
Nice Job! You used a variety of math vocabulary and you stressed the relationship between the inverse operation. Also nice work on the examples.
Hey Tiffany,
Thanks for the comment. I hoped you enjoy my blog. Thanks!
