Journal Entry 5: Laws Of Exponents Part 1

We can expand any variable with an exponent. The exponent of the term, y, is 1. x times x is x^2, its not just because their are two x's, and x times x can not be just x. What I notice when I multiply exponents is that, every time I use exponents in any question or problem, Its just like repeating a number with itself. When using exponents, the number or variable is multiplying itself.
